Access to Justice for people with communication disabilities

Free Webinar: Access to Justice for people with communication disabilities

People who have communication disabilities and who have limited or no speech have the right to effective communication when accessing services within the justice sector. The justice community has a responsibility to take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that this happens, because without adequate processes and supports, people with communication disabilities do not have equal access to justice.

Augmentative Communication Community Partnerships Canada (ACCPC) with funding contribution from Justice Canada is presenting a two-part webinar for professionals working within the justice sector. These webinars provide information, guidelines and resources on communication accessibility that comply with accessibility standards and Canadian human rights legislation. It is recommended that participants attend both sessions.
