NEWSFLASH: Best Buddies

Another year of Best Buddies is coming to a close, and what a great year it has been!  There were 14 buddies matched with 14 students from the University of Waterloo. Thanks to a very eager and organized Best Buddies Student Executive Committee the buddies were able to enjoy a variety of group events.

After the initial Meet and Greet in October, November saw a magical night at Waterloo Park where participants enjoyed the Festival of Lights display and hot chocolate. 

In January there was a games and cupcake decorating night, a yummy time had by all. February rolled in with a bowling night for the buddy pairs. Buddy pairs exhibited their artistic talents at The Art Studio (formerly Luci's Mudhouse) in March where they created unique one of a kind ceramic pieces. The year wrapped up with a movie and popcorn night.

This year's Best Buddies program has been a great success where friendships have developed and fun times have been met with warm smiles. A special thanks to all who have supported Best Buddies and we are looking forward to another successful year come September 2010!
