Access Waterloo Region Inclusion Criteria

  1. Organizations must provide direct service to individuals or families with a member with disabilities.
  2. Organizations must operate on a non-profit basis, or be a government agency, or be licensed or accredited by the government (e.g. nursing homes, group homes, nursery schools/child care centres, private schools).
  3. Service must be located in Waterloo Region or be available to those living or working in Waterloo Region.
  4. Services should be perceived as permanent and ongoing and have been in place for at least one year; projects or pilot programs may be eligible if of sufficient duration.
  5. The organization must provide publishable contact information (e.g. mailing address, telephone number, website).
  6. Exceptions to these criteria can be made at the discretion of the Social Planning Council if the service in question is determined (in consultation with the CC Advisory Committee) to be of significant benefit to individuals and families in Waterloo Region.
